My name is Lynn. It’s nice to meet you.

Curator, artistic director, and creative strategist of 20+ years.

I’ve worked with hundreds of artists over the past 25 years as a curator, gallery owner, artistic director, and creative strategist for artists and arts organizations. I’ve curated exhibitions, directed national arts festivals, and created an award-winning arts-forward Olympic pavilion. As a writer, I have held the honour of documenting many lives, events and stories of artists, knowledge keepers and culture bearers. I’ve held the trust of non-profits, Inuit and First Nations organizations, museums, private collectors and all levels of government to create collections, innovative arts strategies, and cultural events. I’ve written and delivered professional development workshops - and helped many artists - and now I’m here to mentor you through my new program, The Wayfinding Sessions.

“Education is cultivating your gifts and sharing them with the world.” Wow. Yes! I heard writer and botanist, Robin Kimmerer Wall paraphrase this statement from an Indigenous elder, and it felt so right.

The truth is art isn’t just creative—it’s cerebral and commercial - and often benefits from a mentor that’s part support team, part business coach. As an experienced arts professional, I can help you navigate the business side of art. As an HSP and INFJ ( I don’t adhere to labels, but there is truth inside of these), I am tuned in to what people feel and need. I have come to accept and embrace my gifts with an open heart. I’ve worked with revered teachers (known and unknown) to cultivate a strong sense of purpose and create healthy boundaries so that I can share these gifts in a good way.

Calling on this wealth of experience, I want to help empower you to bring your gifts to light, with confidence and ease.

Working in the arts takes courage and I understand that. Let’s be courageous together.

About - Artist Mentorship

Now you know what I do, but who am I?

The truth is, who I am has naturally led me to what I do. More than ‘making a living’, I’ve made a life. A life rich with ideas, beauty and connection. I am dreamer and a doer. Curious to the core, I seek to explore cultures, new philosophies, new paradigms and different ways of seeing and being. I’m happiest working behind the scenes. Having travelled the world, I live to be simultaneously free and rooted - no easy feat within a system not designed for creative thinkers.

I am driven by truth that Art (in all forms) is the pathway to a more compassionate, inclusive, creative and meaningful world. Art tells the story of our lives and how we’ve lived. When we open our eyes, ears and hearts to beauty and truth, we naturally make better decisions. I believe art will lead the way to the better decisions we need right now, and I want artists and those working in the arts to be poised and ready to THRIVE!

I am moved and motivated by the interplay of light and shadow; internally and externally. I resonate deeply with quiet power of trees and the mighty force of the ocean. I walk every day with the ancient belief that walking solves everything. I prefer quiet to noisy, small gatherings to big crowds. I write letters, and I mail them. I love stationary and I write with a fountain pen. I appreciate the beautiful, diverse cast of people on my life’s stage. I consider the words of countless brave poets and some four legged friends to be among my greatest teachers.

I am a problem solver with an equal measure of emotional intelligence and business savvy to keep things flowing. I find purpose helping people see their own light. I also experience great satisfaction in creating energetic, warm, engaging and meaningful spaces.

Creatively speaking, my approach to just about anything tends to be multi-dimensional. I know how to bring just the right people or objects together to develop and realize a vision to create something unforgettable. In these ways, I have learned to share my gifts and find harmony between passion and profit.

If you’d like to see how I can help you, I’d be delighted to meet you.

There has never been a more important time to empower yourself - to learn what needs to be learned, kick down the doors of self doubt and confusion, and turn your creativity into your legacy.
